Summary of Key Research Responsibilities:

  • Leadership, organization, and management of large-scale research projects that consider the examination and analysis of existing built and natural environments, public spaces, and architectural artifacts, heritage-protected urban areas, and buildings.

  • Execution of a comprehensive literature review based on research questions, objectives, and aims.

  • Writing research protocols to cover the examination of human subjects for ethics committees.

  • Implementation of empirical scientific research by using qualitative data collection methods: narrative inquiry interviews, in-depth interviews, surveys, ethnography, auto-ethnography, photo-narratives, etc.

  • Execution of extensive archival research, creating and organizing new research databases, assembly of photo libraries through site visits and examination of archives, analysis of the archival texts and photo documentation.

  • Translation of acquired qualitative texts and stories (from Serbian to English and vice versa), comprehensive analysis of collected data, writing up the findings and research implications, publishing results in peer-reviewed journals, presenting research implications in professional international conferences.

  • Promotion of research results through non-traditional channels, including online media platforms and internal digital platforms by using WordPress and Squarespace. Sourcing, selection, and metadata creation of content on the internal websites by actively managing a diverse array of sources.

  • Writing proposals for both internal and external grant applications.

  • Writing proposals for domestic and international design competitions.

  • Arrangement and coordination of an advisory group and other related research meetings, negotiation with research clients and other research teams from a variety of fields/occupations.
