Health Institute Dr Simo Milosevic, Igalo, Boka Kotorska Bay, Montenegro

In this project, my work responsibilities included detailed location urban morphology analysis with the purpose of determining the existing structures' expansion capacity as well as the general urban and architectural parameters of the area. To determine possible design outcomes for this project, architects relied on the systematic analysis of the current everyday work activity patterns of the institute. Special attention was given to the support of the core activities of the institution (patient rehabilitation), improvement of the existing complex typologies, and development of successful correlations with other compatible activities, with the final goal of ensuring the permanent and profitable work environment of the health facilities throughout the year. Spatial planning was organized in accordance with the existing complex matrix, consisting of multifaceted location boundaries, access roads, and positions of the existing buildings/structures. During this process, special attention was given to the functional and aesthetic aspects of the complex as well as its astonishing natural ambience.

Rus Health Resort, Sochi, Russia

In this project, our key focus was the reconstruction of the entire building, adaptation, and reconstruction of the facade, project development and assembly of project documentation, design and detailing for the entire building interior; conceptual and final project design of an indoor pool adjacent to the hotel. Sanatorium Rus, built prior to World War II, represents a complex of villas, parks, and hotels formerly used by Russian government officials for relaxation and rehabilitation. The project included a complete interior redesign as well as facade reconstruction and sanitation. Extensive changes and modifications of the facades were strictly forbidden since it was essential to preserve the authentic, pre-World War II look of the structure. The architects' idea behind the reconstruction was to emphasise the magnificence and grandeur of the architectural structures on the site.

Commercial Building Block 37, New Belgrade, Serbia

In this award-winning project, my key responsibilities included conceptual and final project design, project organisation, writing project documentation, design and development of architectural details, day-to-day on-site construction monitoring and supervision. The project represents a business-commercial building that can function as a single entity or be divided into five independent vertical units with separate entrances. The five building entrances are positioned towards the 3rd Boulevard in Belgrade, Serbia and share a single approach portico. The building also has five side entrances facing the residential area on the northeast side. The largest surface of this facade is a transparent glass cover that effectively connects the interior with the outside ambiance, and as such, promotes the new model of work environment. Transparency dematerializes the space, creating the effect of interior and exterior amalgamation.
